All of our boarded horses receive the high level of care every single day. We offer a senior feed, fed twice a day, and round bales during the winter. For feeding, we have a mixed system, with some horses being fed together as a group, as well as separating some horses into a pen to ensure they have plenty of time to eat their feed without another horse joining them. If your horse is on supplements or needs extra feed, we are more than happy to separate them at each feeding in a pen, so that we can be sure they are getting the necessary feed and medication at every meal.
Round bales are fed in a horse-safe hay ring, and horses will have free choice access to round bales throughout the winter. Historically, our pasture has enough grass that the horses are convinced that hay is a last resort - regardless, they will have it available.
Blanketing, fly masks/boots, and holding for the farrier are all included in the price per month (owners must provide equipment and are responsible for farrier costs for their horse). We also are looking over every horse daily to check for any injuries or signs of illness, which get communicated to the respective owner as soon as possible.
If you choose this option, your board bill will stay the same each month - no hay surcharges, no pro-rating out during the winter - it will always be $350 per month, barring any farrier/vet charges.
Our Katahdin sheep are almost exclusively pasture raised. The main exception to this is the alfalfa that pregnant ewes and new moms are given, to support milk production for their lambs. Otherwise, we do occasionally offer cracked corn to our flock, but only as a treat, and most of the time, they only eat a handful before wandering off to find their preferred food - fresh green grass!
We have a commercial flock of purebred Katahdins currently. Our ewes are excellent mothers, who routinely have triplets without being flushed prior to breeding, and they keep all of their lambs fat and happy with milk, until they are old enough to be weaned. We are working to add a registered Katahdin ram to our flock for next year, so keep tuned for updates on that!
We only have a small flock, so we have very limited availability on sheep for sale throughout the year.
If you are looking for breeding stock, please reach out with any specifications that you are wanting, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
If you are looking for lamb for the freezer, send us an email and we will discuss options with you! Again, stock is limited, so get in touch now and we can prioritize you on our list of upcoming lambs.
Our chickens are free-range, supplemented with layer feed. They are healthy and happy chickens, and our eating eggs have the added fun of being a rainbow dozen! Because of our diverse flock, we have blue, green, tan, and dark brown eggs in almost every dozen (depending on the hens’ discretion).
If purchasing eggs, please be aware that we offer a $1/dozen discount if you are paying in cash at time of pick up. If you are paying online, the price of $5/dozen still stands, due to the extra fees associated with online payments.
At this time, we do not offer discounts for trading in empty egg cartons, but we are open to trades/bartering for other products!

Who
we are
A graduate of William Woods University and lifetime animal lover, I’ve worked for a variety of boarding and show barns, before purchasing my own property. From riding lessons and starting young horses, to being an equine vet tech, I have a wide range of experience to give your horse a happy and safe retirement, while being given high-level care every single day.
After starting my business as an equine boarding facility, I have also added in Katahdin sheep and Cream Legbar chickens to the farm, and I am happy to offer a limited amount of sheep, hatching and eating eggs, and chickens for sale as well, depending on availability.
